I had been taking a class learning how to do tricks and spins, so I wanted a strong pole that I could do spins and hang on from home. I live in an apartment so I also needed something that wouldn't damage the ceiling that I could easily take down, as the only place I could put up the pole was in my living room. This pole came recommended from my teacher and I have to say I love it. I had read reviews of other poles and so I was nervous about buying a pole in general. This pole let me hang on it upside down, and do spins both clockwise and counter clockwise. The one thing I would make sure of is that you tighten it all the way to the ceiling pretty well, I got lazy about really tigtening it well after each time I've put it up and it caused some damage to one of the pink extensions needed for the 9ft ceiling. I did contact customer service and they are sending me a replacement extension for free! Customer service with this pole is excellent. The take down and put up time of this pole is about 10 minutes, which to me is perfect and it is super easy to put together as I needed no help.

I am not super strong so at first it seemed hard but I bought some beginner videos and spent 20 minutes a day on it. Coleman 8-Feet Collapsible Tent Pole Review

No warning marks for extension limits; (you have to leave a few inches overlap in tubes), you can make your own with a sharpie though.
The sections will slide completely apart if you're not careful.
Pretty big size difference in tube sections makes them loose fitting and a little wobbly when extended.
Wasteful shipping; each one came in a big, long box that could have easily held all of the four that I ordered.
I was using 8' furring strips with the bottom end sharpened and a screw sticking out of the top but now I can stick these and a tarp, stakes and cord in a duffel bag for ready grab and go when car-camping.

(More customer reviews)I have had my Leki Trail Treking poles about 1.5 weeks. I have used them on five different walks totaling about 20 miles. I covered just about every kind of trail surface. The carbide tips and mud baskets worked well with hard rock, gravel, mud, sand, swampy conditions, tree roots, downed logs, 8-10" tall rough grass, rock and log hopping across and down streams and plain mature forest litter. The poles felt secure and never slipped with my 200 pounds. They are light and easy to carry when not in use. I find them to be vastly superior to the heavier single wooden pole I have been using for many years. I e-mailed Leki to find out which is left and right and got a very prompt and friendly response. (white = L and black = R). I am very satisfied with my purchase and give them 5 stars.
