(More customer reviews)They do what they are supposed to do and weight next to nothing. I have put these poles through the paces and they shine. Easily take all my weight with a pack, so 270 lbs total or so, up or down hill. A couple of times I've had them wedge real bad into rocks and put some serious torque across them and they have held up great. Cork handles are wonderful, as are the lower foam grips for uphill. A couple of dings here and there and still no problems. I wouldn't say you could purposely abuse them without fear of breaking, but they are easily as tough as any aluminum pole I've ever used.
