Coleman Sundome Tent - 7x5' Review

I bought this tent as I needed a smaller one for a yearly group camp out with very limited space. I didn't arrive until 11 PM and was very tired. I managed to get this little tent up for the first time by myself with only a small flashlight in just a few minutes. Just as I was ready to turn in, it started to sprinkle, so I then had to get the rain fly up. Also very easy. It was 2 days later that the rain started in earnest. This wasn't a deluge, but a steady rain that lasted about 5 hours in the day, and resumed at night for several more hours. I stayed very dry and comfy. I've seen a lot of people with cheap tents that are just that, cheap. This one seems pretty well made. The rain fly worked well. I had started out with a tarp underneath to protect the bottom, but had to grab that to cover up the rest of my equipment. I realize the flooring probably won't last forever, but I will make sure I use a groundcloth in the future. It was just as easy to take down, and the storage bag included is large enough. My only negative comment is that it is very small. If 2 people share it, I hope they are very good friends. I used a Coleman twin air bed in it, and seemed to have about 12 inches to spare for some of my gear. But I'm just used to a larger tent also. It does have a pocket on the wall, which was perfect for storing my glasses and small flashlight.

These are beautifully crafted and durable. Great action and easy to handle. I totally enjoy using these rods so much so that I own five of them, 8ft, 9ft, 10ft, 11ft, & 12ft. Also their spinning reels are really nice. Other than my collection of PENN rods & reels the OKUMA is my next favorite to use. They are very reasonably priced but you have to shop around which is so much easier to do on line.

Texsport Wood Creek Square Dome Tent Review

Texsport Wood Creek Square Dome Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We purchased this as a spare for when we have friends/guests along when we camp. We really like it as it's easy to assemble and doesn't leak. Our first camp out with it we were at a music festival along the lakeshore and had high winds with heavy rains. Other tents were collapsing or blowing away around us, but this tent stayed put. We had replaced the stakes with iron sand spikes as we always do when we camp. We don't trust the tiny, thin aluminum(?) stakes that come with most tents. Otherwise a good tent.

Large enough to accommodate five, this 10-feet-square domed tent protects campers during three seasons and features a full-length peaked rainfly. A D-style door with zippered storm flap, windows, and large roof panels let in lots of light and air and are made of fine mesh to screen out insects as small as no-see-ums. Inside there's a mesh storage pocket. Measuring 72 inches high at its tallest point, the tent sets up on a two-pole pin-and-ring frame system with shock-corded fiberglass poles. Durable steel clips secure tent to frame. Polyurethane coats heavy-duty, flame-retardant taffeta walls and rainfly. The floor is rip-stop polyethylene. Stakes and a carry/storage bag come with the tent. Setup instructions are included.
Amazon.com Tent Guide Selecting a Tent Fortunately, there are all kinds of tents for weekend car campers, Everest expeditions, and everything in-between. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Expect the Worst In general, it's wise to choose a tent that's designed to withstand the worst possible conditions you think you'll face. For instance, if you're a summer car camper in a region where weather is predictable, an inexpensive family or all purpose tent will likely do the trick--especially if a vehicle is nearby and you can make a mad dash for safety when bad weather swoops in! If you're a backpacker, alpine climber or bike explorer, or if you like to car camp in all seasons, you'll want to take something designed to handle more adversity.
Three- and Four-Season Tents For summer, early fall and late spring outings, choose a three-season tent. At minimum, a quality three season tent will have lightweight aluminum poles, a reinforced floor, durable stitching, and a quality rain-fly. Some three-season tents offer more open-air netting and are more specifically designed for summer backpacking and other activities. Many premium tents will feature pre-sealed, taped seams and a silicone-impregnated rain-fly for enhanced waterproofness.
For winter camping or alpine travel, go with a four season model. Because they typically feature more durable fabric coatings, as well as more poles, four-season tents are designed to handle heavy snowfall and high winds without collapsing. Of course, four-season tents exact a weight penalty of about 10 to 20 percent in trade for their strength and durability. They also tend to be more expensive.
Domes and Tunnels Tents are broadly categorized into two types, freestanding, which can stand up on their own, and those that must be staked down in order to stand upright. Freestanding tents often incorporate a dome-shaped design, and most four-season tents are constructed this way because a dome leaves no flat spots on the outer surface where snow can collect. Domes are also inherently stronger than any other design. Meanwhile, many three-season models employ a modified dome configuration called a tunnel. These are still freestanding, but they require fewer poles than a dome, use less fabric, and typically have a rectangular floor-plan that offers less storage space than a dome configuration. Many one and two-person tents are not freestanding, but they make up for it by being more lightweight. Because they use fewer poles, they can also be quicker to set up than a dome.
Size Matters Ask yourself how many people you'd like to fit in your fabric hotel now and in the future. For soloists and minimalists, check out one-person tents. If you're a mega-minimalist, or if you have your eye on doing some big wall climbs, a waterproof-breathable bivy sack is the ticket. Some bivy sacks feature poles and stake points to give you a little more breathing room. Also, if you don't need bug protection and you want to save weight, check out open-air shelters.
Families who plan on car camping in good weather can choose from a wide range of jumbo-sized tents that will accommodate all your little ones with room to spare. A wide range of capacities is also available for three- and four-season backpacking and expedition tents. Remember, though, the bigger the tent you buy, the heavier it will be, although it's easy to break up the tent components among several people in your group. It's also helpful to compare the volume and floor-space measurements of models you're considering.

Miniature Pool Balls for Mini Pool Tables Review

Miniature Pool Balls for Mini Pool Tables
Average Reviews:

The balls are smaller than we expected, much smaller. My 10 year old nefew is unable to hit the cue ball due to its small size so uses a more mid-size ball that we got in a partial set that we got with our table. He would rate the set at a 1 as he is disappointed in how truely tiny the set is. We have a kid pool table that is about 2 1/2 foot by 5 foot table and the balls are not appropriate for this size table at all. We assume they may have been intended for a small table top pool table but are not sure. Fed Ex delivered the package to the wrong house, we had corrected the address with them and the company .. the company requested the address change after we personally did yet fed ex did not change it as they assured both us and the company they would. Not interested in using fed ex for any shipments in the future due to this. We don't hold this any of this against the company, they do give the dimention of 1 1/8 inch, we just misinterpreted how they got the measurement and were shocked the balls are barely comparible in size to a quarter.

Wenzel Pinon Sport 7-by 7-Foot Three-Person Dome Tent Review

Wenzel Pinon Sport 7-by 7-Foot Three-Person Dome Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I like this tent more than the other reviewer. I used it for one night with my son, and it worked well. Woke up dry and happy.
It's got about a 4 foot height, so you definitely can't stand up in it, but it is a legit 7 feet by 7 feet. Pretty good size. Haven't seen anything on the market at this price.
Other things I liked:
-Easy to get in and out of (D-style door is a plus)
-Fiberglass poles and overall easy set-up.
I forgot...I did use a seam sealer for all the edges of the tent. Worked well.
Still can't believe the price.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Wenzel Pinon Sport 7-by 7-Foot Three-Person Dome Tent

Nicely lightweight and easy to set up and breakdown, the sporty Wenzel Pinon dome-style tent is a great choice for a weekend car camping outing. It features a generously sized single room that measures 7 by 7 feet--great for storing lots of gear--and a 50-inch maximum height. In addition to the good-sized D-style door (with a mesh window covering half of it), this tent also includes a window on the back for cross-current ventilation. The interior is quite spare, with only a small gear pocket in one corner near the door.
Setting up the tent was easy, for the most part, and we erected the tent (with its two shock-corded fiberglass poles) in under five minutes. The one impediment to an even faster assembly was the heavy-duty nylon corner pockets that secure the poles, which included a polyester-reinforced interior flap that's not seamed at the top of the entry. Thus, we had a tougher time than we should have trying to make correct purchase with the pocket, continually hitting the space between the nylon pocket and the interior poly pocket.
But we could forgive this slight design flaw for such a nicely light and easily backpacked tent. This tent also includes a fly that offers a good coverage area, including a bit of an extended cover over the door and back window. While we didn't have rain during our testing, we did use a sprinkler for an extended period, and were pleased to note that the fly ably handled the water run off, guiding it away from the bottom of the tent. To improve this tent's weather resistance, it's recommended that you use seam sealer to coat all exposed seams, applying only to the underside of the fly and inside the seams of the tent.
Overall, the Wenzel Pinon is a good choice for car campers and for the occasional hiked excursion. While it won't stand up to the worst that Mother Nature can throw your way, it should handle a decent amount of rain. And its ample 49 square foot interior will hold two good-sized adults and a good amount of gear. --Agen G.N. Schmitz

This is a great product, and as usual, Amazon shipped it direct with lightning speed right to my door. It was the best value, as we comparison shopped, did not need to pay for delivery or taxes, and knew if we were not happy, we could return the system with no problem. I must add that Amazon states that you need professional installation. They are 100% correct. Other sport stores told us that it would be simple to install, with very little effort, and I did make the mistake of believing those salepeople. It took us hours and hours with the help of many people to finally get it right, since the directions are not very accurate. We had to keep on taking steps backwards and repeating and correcting. It was a nightmare. We should have heeded the warning of Amazon to get professional installation. Unless you are extremely mechanical and have a second and third person to help you, do get someone experienced to assemble this item.
Now that it is up and functional, we absolutely love it. It is very attractive looking, sturdy, and portable. Again, great product!!

The Lifetime 71523 Portable Basketball Goal System features a clear 54 inch square Shatter Guard backboard system made of Makrolon polycarbonate, which is virtually unbreakable and many times stronger than acrylic. The gray hammertone steel, three piece, 3.5-inch round pole with Power Lift height mechanism offers instant and effortless height adjustment from 7.5 feet to 10 feet with infinite increments. The orange Slam-It Pro rim features double compression springs that provides spring-back action, and an arena-style wraparound brace with a 0.625-inch ring of solid steel and rigid rectangular extension arms offers more play space under the basket. This system also includes a spring cover, bellows, blow molded frame pad and a black pole pad. The extra large portable base with 35-gallon capacity fills with water or sand to provide a stable foundation that rolls easily on its own wheels.
Portable basketball systems depend on a base filled with sand or water for stability. Although it will take up more space than an in-ground system, the portable base rolls on wheels, allowing players to position the basketball system in the desired location (and also allowing storage in a garage). Simply assemble, fill the base and play today. There is no fussing with concrete.

Amazon.com Basketball System Buying Guide With the high-quality construction of many portable basketball systems, turning your driveway into a basketball court can be as simple as hooking up your garden hose. But while a portable system may ultimately be your best choice, there are reasons you may want to consider an in-ground or wall-mount system before you decide.
In-Ground Systems In-ground systems are permanently cemented into the ground--either via a bolt mounting kit or directly into the ground--and are generally more rigid and take up less space than portables. In-ground systems often require that you hire a professional to complete the task, but when the cement dries you'll have a hoop that can take punishing dunks with ease.
Many in-ground systems are height-adjustable, include removable post features that let you take the system down for off-season storage, and feature heavy-duty break-away rims. You'll also want to research the adjustable mechanisms on the systems, as there are several types to choose from. Some feature a counter-balance spring that lets you perform easy, one-hand adjustments while others may feature a sturdy, pneumatic system.
Wall-Mount Systems Wall-mount systems can be mounted to the side of a house, a tall retaining wall, or a garage. Generally sturdier than portables, wall-mounts have the added advantage of optimizing your existing ground space for the court, since you won't take any space up with the base or pole. Not all systems include the necessary hardware, so make certain you add a mounting kit to your list.
Portable Systems Portable systems require minimal installation and offer ultimate convenience. These systems generally feature a base that can be filled with sand or water to stabilize them and include wheels for portability. Although they are not as sturdy as in-ground or wall-mounted hoops, portables are simple to set up and can often be folded for convenient storage.
Backboard Considerations Regardless of which system you choose, you'll want to brush up on Backboards 101. Most residential systems feature backboards made of acrylic, fiberglass, graphite, or various other composite materials. While clear acrylic gives the professional look and feel of glass, it is not as rigid as fiberglass or graphite. Some systems may offer steel or aluminum backboards, which are virtually vandal resistant, but don't offer the true rebounding action.
The regulation size of an NBA backboard is 72 inches wide and 42 inches high. Most portable hoops are 42 or 44 inches wide and 36 inches tall. In-ground systems tend to be a bit larger, with 54-inch and 60-inch widths being the most popular. While rectangular shaped backboards provide more bank shot opportunities, they are generally more expensive than the streamlined fan-shaped board.

Mammoth 98874 In-Ground Basketball System with 72-Inch Backboard Review

I love the Mammoth Basketball Hoop! It feels like an NBA quality system. We chose it because of the 72" tempered glass backboard which is the same as used in gymnasiums. It has an extremely solid 6" x 6" pole that makes it very stable. It feels like you are playing in a nice gym. It also adjusts very easily with the horse shoe styled grip that you squeeze. This makes it really fun for dunk ball. This is an awesome unit, that makes you glad that you spent your money on something that will last. It also has nice bolt down anchoring system that allows you to move it if you change houses. Great buy!

Hone your jumpshot in your spare moments or perform a backyard dunking drill with the Mammoth 98874 in-ground basketball goal. Designed for permanent installations, the 98874 includes such features as a real tempered glass backboard, a heavy-duty Spring Flex rim, and a Rapid Cam one-handed height adjustment mechanism for speedy height changes.
The goal's sturdiness stems from its 6-inch-square steel pole and its 9-by-9-inch bolt-down pattern, which is more rigid and takes up less space than portable basketball goals. The pro-style 72-inch backboard, meanwhile, is made of 3/8-inch-thick tempered glass, the same kind used in high school, college, and pro programs across the country. As a result, broken backboards are a thing of the past, even from errant rocks and other non-basketball threats. In addition, the board includes a huge steel frame and a professional-quality foam frame pad.
Mammoth knows that dunking and above-the-rim play are a huge part of modern basketball, which is why the 98874 also comes with both a height adjustment mechanism and a spring-back rim. The Rapid Cam mechanism--the fastest crank mechanism on the market--adjusts from 7-1/2 to 10 feet in seconds, with a Key Lock device to ensure that the rim stays at your chosen height while you play. Thanks to the Rapid Cam technology, players of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the game on their own terms, while aspiring dunkers can gradually raise the level an inch at a time as their vertical improves.
The Spring Flex rim, meanwhile, is designed specifically for players who like to throw down. The 5/8-inch solid-steel rim features wraparound bracing and double-compression springs that give way during dunks to protect the player, then spring back once released. The rim is also supported by 1/2-inch braces, with welded-steel net hooks and an all-weather nylon net.
Other details include a monstrous, powder-coated black steel frame with a rust-resistant finish, 30-inch extension arms for durability, an anchoring system with a patented anti-flex design that reduces vibration, and a precision leveling feature. The 98874 carries a lifetime warranty.

Very good product. Nothing hard than to attach two poles if you don't have two left hands. Works great in the ocean. Unfortunately, you have to have your buddy to enjoy.

I got this rod from my grampa from walmart for [...] bucks. I had it for a month, then i guess you get what you paid for. I was fishing yesterday when my hook got caught onto a log, as i was trying to get it out, the top lope broke off. It was fun while it lasted but I would only recommend this for beginning kids.

Texsport Wyoming Arbor Sunshade Review

I purchased the product with the intent (no pun intended) to use it as a shade shelter for camping and the beach. Set up is somewhat complicted due to the use of a sleeve system instead of a corded hook system used in similar tents/shelters. It was apparent early on that the glue holding the ferrules on to the ends of the fiberglass rods was not up to snuff as about a third of them pulled off and this got worse the ssecond time i set it up. I set it up in the back yard first and then a second time on the beach. Unfortuantely the top is not vented in any way so even a minimal wind load results in unacceptable deformation of the entire top/fiberglass rod assembly. This resulted in the need to return. I would recommend it only for minimal to zero wind conditions and even at that one would need to secure all the ferrules with glue or duct tape.

worked great on my fishcat 4. Looked like there wouldn't be enough room in front of the pockets but there was. The holder can be switched from left to right and did it's job. Looks durable and should last a long time. I bought two.
