(More customer reviews)Bought this new system and received it yesterday. It is packaged real nice, but very confusing with their instructions on setup. Looked at the set of instructions and there are things people should know before ordering.
When I ordered, I asked specifically if it is hard to setup and they only show an instructional setup video for their Volleyball system. They assured me that it is almost exactly the same and if I needed help, I can just phone them.
This is easy to setup, if and only if you have all the components. I found out I was missing a clamp for the first pole and it took the guy forever to figure out what I was asking him to explain.
Besides missing that clamp, there were a couple other things that are on their website and the list of materials they ask you to checklist off. There are no pads to go on the poles. They also do not give you the pole guide, so you drive it in at the right angle. These only come with the Volleyball system.
This is why they only get 4 out of 5 stars. Other than those annoying things, it is really easy to figure out. You can be left wondering how the bungee cords are used as well, but I only cared about keeping the net tight and it is amazing to see it setup without guy wires all around it.No tripping hazards what-so-ever.

(More customer reviews)I specifically looked for a net that had poles. This is one of the few that had pictures of net and poles. There was no disclaimer stating that poles were not included. For $45 I expected poles. But guess what - no poles! Not too big of a deal but I probably would have bought a cheaper net if I knew poles did not come included with this net. Net looks durable - very heavy for badmitton. Closer to a volleyball net.

(More customer reviews)Pass on the more popular sets and get this one. Polls and rackets are all metal. Net is strong too. Great for backyard use. Love the red color, it sets this set apart from cheep plastic kits. Put the strings for the net and polls stakes through the hole then wrap the strings around the poll two or three times and the net will stay up nice and strong. Shuttlecocks are ok to get you started but you may want better ones. I bought Head 500 to go along with the set for about 6 dollars. Very happy with this product.

(More customer reviews)My 16 year-old son had been playing badminton in gym class and we all love to try different sports, so we set up our old volleyball net (on its lowest setting - still too high) and dug out some old racquets and shuttlecocks from our garage. To be fair, we hit harder than most backyard players who are just floating shots up high. We quickly realized we needed a better set (and a net that had smaller holes!). I ordered this set because it looked like it would stand up to some more serious play. On arrival, one racquet had a bent handle, and within 1/2 hour of play, two others were either losing their hand grips or had partially broken, and all 3 shuttlecocks were broken. We were not abusing the set at all, but were playing "real" badminton. If you're looking for something that will stand up to this type of play, look elsewhere!

We shopped around a long time before deciding on this set, including in stores as well as online. It arrived quickly and we set it up the next day. Everything conveniently came in a travel bag. The net was easy to set up and is quite sturdy (we haven't taken it down since we've got it and it has survived a few windstorms just fine). It has strong nylon tension ropes that support the main poles that you hammer into the ground and are adjustable to make either tighter or loser once in the ground. We have also used the net to play volleyball as well. The 4 rackets themselves are very durable and are made very well - the birdie hasn't once got stuck in between the top part of the racket. It also comes with 3 standard birdies.
All in all, we are very happy with our purchase. We didn't need anything fancy, just a standard badminton set and that is what this is. We are going to enjoy this for many years to come!

It is typically a hassle to set the net up, the shuttlecocks get stuck in the rackets, and the shuttlecocks fall apart. This set is a HUGE improvement without spending an absolute fortune. We set the net up and were ready to play within 10 minutes of opening the box. It'll be quick and easy to take down as needed. We played for 30 minutes last night and not once did a shuttlecock get stuck in the racket. The shuttlecocks have cork on the bottoms and are larger than most cheap shuttlecocks. I'd highly recommend this set. It's worth the extra price.

Six thin, small diameter poles approximately 1/2 inch in diameter, which replaced much heavier 3/4 inch poles I had acquired years ago for less than one half the price. True, these appear to be galvanized and should resist rust, but time will tell.

Notes:The Nylon ropes are a strangling hazard - DO NOT allow children to assemble.The end of the peg above the ground is rounded like a ring to reduce the chances of injury in the event that someone accidentally steps on it, but we recommend you to be careful and not play barefoot. The rounded rings also enable you to pull out the pegs from the ground readily for disassembly.The quality of the net is significantly better than those that come with traditional recreational sets sold at large retailers, however, it is not designed to be used as a volley ball net !

This portable set is terrific: it sets up fast, easily, with excellent net tension. Just devote a little attention to properly extending and clicking the side tabs on the lower support bar first time out, because you likely will be so eager to play when you see the set that you won't notice this very slight detail in assembly. I recommend this product to anyone. Sorry I took so long to discover it but everyone is having a ball playing now in my long driveway.
